Seat Pitch
On long haul flights a little extra room can make a big difference to your comfort. Also shown in the table below are seat pitch measurements for each airline to help you make your decision. Whilst holidays are usually quoted on the basis of economy class air travel, we appreciate that many of our clients will wish to travel in the premium cabins of the aircraft.
For added comfort – why not upgrade?
Passengers who choose to travel on one of the ‘enhanced’ economy services, Business or First Class enjoy many benefits. These may include a more attentive service, priority check-in, increased luggage allowance, larger seats with more leg room, improved entertainment and in-flight meals with a wider choice of wines and beverages.
Enhanced economy upgrade
A new generation of more affordable upgrades has become available over the past few years, offering you a premium service with additional benefits compared to a standard economy class without the business or first class price tag. Airlines such as British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Eva Air and bmi all offer this ‘enhanced’ product with added benefits such as:

- Increased legroom
- Increased baggage allowance (up to 25kg per person)
- A wider seat with personal seatback TV
- Upgraded meal service (certain airlines only)
Business class
Travelling business class, even one way, adds a new dimension to your holiday. For extra comfort and service, business class travel is fast becoming the standard for many of our customers. With Premier Holidays you will be flying with one of the world’s leading scheduled airlines so why not add a touch of class to your journey? One-way and return business class supplements are available across most of our programme. Privileges usually include:
- Complimentary domestic flights to UK airport of departure (conditions apply)
- Dedicated check-in
- Access to departure business class lounges with complimentary refreshments and various other facilities
- Increased baggage allowance (30kg per person)
- Separate cabin with superior service, seating and on board entertainment with larger personal TV and on-demand videos (certain airlines offer flat beds in Business Class)
- Gourmet dining and fine wines
- Priority luggage on arrival
Please be aware that business class upgrades may only be available for the international sectors of your journey and domestic/regional flights may still be in economy.
First class
Fly in First Class, where available and your flight will be pure luxury – the ultimate air travel experience! Throughout your flight you will receive the very best service with even more legroom and on most carriers fully-reclinable flat beds. All privileges as per Business Class apply plus:
- Increased baggage allowance (40kg per person)
- A la carte dining from internationally acclaimed chefs
- Complimentary bar service including the finest champagnes and wines
Fly from your local airport
Many of the airlines Premier Holidays feature offer departures or connections from regional airports throughout the UK and whilst holidays are normally based on Manchester or Heathrow (with some carriers operating from Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow also) we can arrange regional connections for you at a small supplement. To make your journey even less stress-free at your local airport, your luggage is, wherever possible, checked through to your final destination, dependent on security restrictions. Flights may be operated by British Airways, BA partner airlines, bmi and flybe.
