Prices based on an Economy car, 2 door for USA and 4 door for Canada, on fully inclusive insurance which includes unlimited mileage, CDW, $1 million liability cover, tax and airport fees.

- Fuel (although you may purchase this on arrival at the depot, except first tank of fuel with Alamo Gold which includes first tank of fuel).
- Taxes on any items purchased locally.
Things you need to know:
Driving Licence: You must be in possession of a valid NATIONAL driving licence. International licences are not accepted.
DirectRoadSM: Take advantage of Alamo’s great DirectRoadSM service, save time at the rental counter and spend it enjoying your holiday! All you have to do is pre-register your details with Alamo before you travel - look out for a form in your travel documentation. Alamo have DirectRoadSM counters located at the following international airports: Orlando, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco. DirectRoadSM is only available to customers who have pre-purchased Alamo Gold.
Deposit: A deposit must be left on all rentals. This can be in the form of a credit card imprint or the sum of $100 cash per week.
Driving Age: The minimum driving age is 21, however all drivers aged 21 to 24 must pay an under age driver fee of $20 in the US and CAD$20 in Canada plus tax per day locally. In New York an under age insurance recovery fee of $45.93 per day is payable instead.
Seats: In most of America children aged up to 6 are required by law to use a child seat. Child seats must be requested at the time of booking and cost $4.99 in the US or CAD$6 in Canada plus tax per seat per day. A $50 deposit is needed for each car seat.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) included in Fully Inclusive and Alamo Gold: Means you are protected against the costs of any damage to your rental car as long as the terms of your rental contract are not violated.
Extended Protection (EP) included in Fully Inclusive and Alamo Gold: Provides enhanced protection against your liability to a third party. With EP your liability limit is raised to $1 million. Without EP you are liable for all charges, over the state minimum which can be as low as $10,000, if you cause damage to another car, person or property.
Uninsured Motorists Protection (UMP) included in Fully Inclusive and Alamo Gold: Covers the renter and any family member related by blood, marriage or adoption for $100,000 worth of uninsured motorists protection in case you are involved in an accident with an uninsured or under-insured motorist.
Optional Extras: If you choose to purchase any optional extras locally, you have 24 hours after collecting your car to change your mind. After this time, no claims will be accepted or refunds given. Additional Drivers (unlimited included in Alamo Gold): An additional driver fee of $5.99 in the US or CAD$6 in Canada plus tax per additional driver per day will be charged. In the city of New York, the additional driver must show a valid drivers licence and a valid credit card issued in their name at the time of rental.
