Having spent much of the last century hidden from the outside world, Cambodia is now emerging from years of isolation and devastating war to welcome visitors with open arms. Brimming with legendary temples, iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites, historical treasures and glorious beaches, much of the country remains refreshingly untouched by tourism and is sure to leave an indelible impression.

Flight duration: Phnom Penh is approximately 13.5 hours from the UK (via Bangkok).
Local time: GMT +7 hours.
Currency: Cambodian Riel is the official currency, however US dollars are essential in small denominations and are often more useful than the local currency.
Passports & visas: A full British passport, which is machine readable and valid for six months beyond your return date is required. Please click here to find out if a visa is required for British passport holders.
Health: Vaccinations are required and are strongly recommended. Your GP will be able to provide you with specific advice on the destinations in your itinerary.
Best time to travel: Cambodia enjoys a tropical climate and has constantly high temperatures all year round, with the least rainfall between November and April. The monsoon season is from May to October, however as the rain usually consists of short, heavy downpours, it is still possible to visit during this period. Humidity is lowest in November and December.
