Getting there: Siem Reap is approximately 13.5 hours from the UK (via Bangkok). Daily flights are also available from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

Best time to travel: Siem Reap has a tropical climate with seasonal variations. The dry season runs from December through to April and a wet season from May to November when the monsoon brings high humidity and rainfall, although usually in short, heavy downpours.
