Day 1 London (Heathrow)/Beijing - Non-stop overnight Air China flight.
Day 2 Beijing - Early afternoon arrival in one of the world’s most historic cities. Make the most of your first evening in this exciting city, from haggling in the local markets to sampling the famous Peking Duck. Overnight: Kerry Centre Hotel (3 nights).
Day 3 Beijing - Travel 50 miles north to the imposing Great Wall. Continue to the Ming Tombs, burial place of 13 emperors, guarded by massive statues of animals, warriors and mandarins. (B,L)
Day 4 Beijing - Full day sightseeing tour including the 15th century Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Temple of Heaven, which is situated within Beijing’s largest park. (B,L)
Day 5 Beijing/Xi’an - Fly for just under two hours south to Xi’an, located in Shaanxi Province, the cradle of Chinese civilisation, once capital of 11
dynasties. Overnight: Shangri-La Hotel (2 nights). (B)
Day 6 Xi’an - Visit the magnificent Terracotta Army Warriors and horses at the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, only discovered in the 1970s and still being unearthed. Continue to the neolithic settlement of Ban Po where unearthed relics can be seen as well as outlines of houses and cooking areas. (B,L)
Day 7 Xi’an/Guilin - Fly two hours south to Guilin, considered one of the most beautiful Chinese cities. Overnight: Sheraton Hotel (2 nights). (B)
Day 8 Guilin - Enjoy a spectacular cruise down the Li Jiang River, a scenery of Karst (limestone) hills rising dramatically from the river’s edge, cormorant fishermen aboard their bamboo rafts, junks and the occasional water buffalo working the paddy fields. (B,L)
Day 9 Guilin/Hong Kong - An 80 minute flight to vibrant Hong Kong. Overnight: Harbour Plaza (3 nights).
Day 10/11 Hong Kong - Two days at leisure for independent sightseeing.

Day 12 Hong Kong/London (Heathrow) - Late evening Virgin Atlantic non-stop overnight flight.
Day 13 London (Heathrow) - Morning arrival. Departures: Daily.
