Malaysia Discovery Tour (escorted) 9 nights

Day 1 Depart UK: From selected airports.

Day 2/4 Singapore: Time at leisure to sample the garden of the East.

Day 5 Singapore/Malacca: Depart Singapore by train as you commence your fully escorted tour. En route pass lush rubber and oil palm plantations. Disembark at Kluang and continue to Malacca by coach. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an historical city tour.

Day 6 Malacca/Kuala Lumpur: After breakfast pass by Seremban en route to KL. Your tour will cover the sights of KL including the Petronas Twin Towers (approx 96 miles/7 hours drive).

Day 7 Kuala Lumpur: Morning tour of Batu Caves and a chance to see Malaysian handicrafts. Afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 8 Kuala Lumpur/Cameron Highlands: Journey to an altitude of 5,500 feet above sea level. See the "Orang Asli" (Malaysian Aboriginal) complete with their blowpipes (approx 158 miles/8 hours drive).

Day 9 Cameron Highlands/Penang: En route to Ipoh visit Kellies Castle and famous Cave Temples, followed by lunch. Travel north to Kuala Kangsar, then on to the state of Penang. Cross the Penang Bridge to the island (approx 192 miles/8 hours drive).

Day 10 Penang: Visit the famous Penang Snake Temple. Continue to explore various attractions in Georgetown. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 11 Penang/ Pangkor Island: Enjoy a scenic drive past quaint towns and belts of rice fields. Stop at Taiping Lake Gardens. Within the gardens is the Taiping War Cemetery, the final resting place of soldiers who fought the Japanese during their invasion of Malaya. Continue to Pangkor Island, a half-hour ferry journey from the town of Lumut (approx 152 miles/8 hours drive).

Day 12 Pangkor Isalnd: A day at leisure to enjoy the resort’s breathtaking private beach or to explore the island itself.

Day 13 Pangkor Isalnd/Port Dickson: Depart by ferry back to the mainland and head south to Port Dickson with its popular beaches (approx 208 miles/8 hours drive).

Day 14 Port Dickson/Singapore/UK: Return to Singapore via Johor Bahru and cross into Singapore (approx 192 miles/8 hours drive). Extend your stay? Or departure to the UK.
