Kruger National Park
The Kruger National Park is arguably the finest game park in the world and only an hour’s flight from Jo’burg. Most lodges offer two game drives per day (one early in the morning and one in the evening) and your chances of seeing the “Big Five” - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo - are excellent. This must be high on the list of "musts" for any visit to South Africa. You can either choose to stay outside the park in one of the towns outside the gates such as Hazyview or you can stay at one of the private reserves inside the park itself.
