Tahiti and the Islands

The very name conjures up a picture of impossibly blue oceans, soft sand beaches, swaying palms and Polynesian beauties in grass skirts. Whilst mini skirts may have replaced grass skirts, the Tahitians have retained much of their old lifestyle and are quite possibly the most gracious people you will ever meet. Tahiti is actually the name of just one island out of 118 which make up the region known as French Polynesia. It acts as the gateway to some of those stunningly beautiful islands of which dreams are made.
