Flight duration: The flying time from the UK to Las Vegas or Phoenix is about 10 hours 30 minutes, while Denver is approximately 10 hours flying time.
Best time to travel: As you would expect from such a vast region the weather does vary considerably and is not easy to summarise in such a small space. However, it is a year round destination. Generally speaking expect high temperatures during the summer months, particularly in southern Nevada, Arizona and Utah. The National Parks will be very busy in the summer months and accommodation books up quickly. Winters tend to be cool rather than very cold, although mountain regions do experience snow.
Local time: GMT -7 hours (Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming & Montana); GMT -6 hours (North Dakota & South Dakota).
Passports & Visas: A full British passport, which is machine readable and valid for six months beyond your return date is required. Please click here to find out if a visa is required for British passport holders.
Health: Before booking any holiday we recommend that you consult a general practitioner or health professional for information on any health requirements for the areas you wish to visit. If you have previously travelled to a Yellow Fever area, you may be required to provide a vaccination certificate.
Resort Fees: Many resorts now charge a compulsory ‘resort fee’ per night of your stay, which is payable locally and added to your room bill. Inclusions in this fee vary, but typically give access to WiFi, free local and long distance calls within the country (not international). It may also cover use of some hotel facilities such as fitness rooms, tennis courts etc.
