Explore four very different sides of Australia in eleven nights. Start with three nights in Melbourne, where laneway coffee, galleries and the free city tram circle are all on your doorstep. Fly inland for two nights at Uluru, where the rock burns through reds and violets at sunrise and again at dusk. Then three nights in Sydney where you can visit the harbour, beaches and the famous Opera House. Before finishing with three nights on Hamilton Island, your gateway to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.

Days 1-3 Melbourne

Arrive in Melbourne for a three-night stay. Explore the street-art laneways and coffee houses of the CBD, browse the Queen Victoria Market and hop on the free City Circle tram to get your bearings. The National Gallery of Victoria, the Royal Botanic Gardens and the bars and restaurants along the Yarra are all within easy reach.

Days 4-5 Uluru

Fly on to Ayers for 2 nights at the gateway to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Watch the rock change colour at sunrise and sunset, walk the base trail with an Aboriginal guide to hear the stories held in the rock face, and make time for the domes of Kata Tjuta a short drive away. Clear desert skies make this one of the best stargazing spots in the country.

Days 6-8 Sydney

Continue to Sydney for three nights. Take a ferry across the harbour for the classic view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, walk the coastal path from Bondi to Coogee, or head up into the Blue Mountains for the day.

Days 9-11 Hamilton Island

Fly to Hamilton Island for a three-night stay. This is the gateway to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef, so snorkel or dive the coral, take a boat or seaplane out to the white silica sands of Whitehaven Beach, or simply make the most of the island's pools and beaches.

Day 12 Depart Hamilton Island

Transfer to Hamilton Island airport for your return flight home.
