Our suggested itinerary is a starting point
We're specialists in tailor-made holidays, where we can adapt each itinerary to suit your requirements
Day 1 Alice Springs
You are met on arrival at Alice Springs airport. Nestled between the MacDonnell Ranges, Alice Springs is an iconic outback town made famous by its rich pioneering history and enchanting ancient Indigenous culture. Venture out of the town to visit the spectacular Standley Chasm, where you can wind through the striking gorge between towering rock walls. This evening, look forward to a welcome dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 2 Alice Springs/Uluru
The Australian outback comes to life as you travel through rugged landscapes to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. First viewed by Europeans in 1872, Uluru is one of Australia's most famous and sacred sites. At the park's Cultural Centre, you will learn about the Anangu culture and the natural environment. This evening, be thrilled by the acclaimed Field of Light, where more than 50,000 solar-powered stems illuminate the landscape.
Day 3 Uluru
Rise early to witness the magnificent sunrise over Uluru followed by a guided tour around the base of this famous monolith, viewing ancient caves and fascinating Indigenous rock art sites. This afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) to take in the panoramic views of the domes and also walk into Walpa Gorge. This evening, perhaps treat yourself to an optional Sounds of Silence Dinner under the sparkling outback sky (at extra expense).
Day 4 Uluru/Kings Canyon
Travel to Kings Canyon, in the heart of Watarrka National Park, for an afternoon walk along Kings Creek to the canyon's floor. Later, a special experience awaits at Kings Canyon's Light Towers which transform colour as a celestial soundscape sets the scene.
Day 5 Kings Canyon
Set off on a challenging Kings Canyon Rim Walk atop the canyon's amazing sandstone walls. At the lookout, you're rewarded with spectacular views of the canyon itself and along the way you'll see the Garden of Eden with its waterhole and bright riverine vegetation. This afternoon an optional Karrke Indigenous experience is available (at extra expense).
Day 6 Kings Canyon/Alice Springs
Return to Alice Springs where you visit the Alice Springs School of the Air which provides education to children in remote locations. Next, tour the Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility before joining new-found friends for a farewell dinner.
Day 7 Alice Springs
At leisure before transferring to the airport for your onward journey.
