Our suggested itinerary is a starting point
We're specialists in tailor-made holidays, where we can adapt each itinerary to suit your requirements
Day 1 Uluru
On arrival, take the complimentary transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre before you travel around the base of Uluru in comfort as your driver guide tells you about the numerous sacred sites and features found here. Hear about the native flora and fauna and learn more about the intriguing culture of the traditional owners, the Anangu, plus an array of fascinating sites. Continue by coach to the Kuniya Walk where you are escorted to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole.
In the late afternoon marvel at the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset.
Day 2 Uluru
Travel to Kings Canyon and make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Time permitting, you may opt to descend into the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden'. Or, if you wish, take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed.
Day 3 Uluru
Rise early this morning and travel to Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the Uluru Sunrise Viewing Area, and watch the first rays of sun light up the desert while sipping a warming cup of tea or coffee. After sunrise travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta stopping enroute for panoramic vistas of the southern side of Kata Tjuta at a dune viewing platform.
On arrival at Walpa Gorge spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations - a walking trail of just under a mile leads through Walpa Gorge and follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. Return to Ayers Rock Resort for free time before an afternoon visit to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Spend time at the Cultural Centre where you can admire the galleries and may be lucky enough to see local Aboriginal Artists at work. Later, travel on to the base of Uluru where you'll be amazed as your local guide shares the Aboriginal Tjukurpa (creation) stories that breathe life into this giant formation. Feel the spirit of the land as your guide takes you on a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole, interpreting the meaning of the ancient Rock Art and sacred sites you'll see along the way. Continue to the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area where you can relax with a sparkling wine or two as you enjoy a famous Uluru sunset. Witness the incredible changing colours as the sun sets below the horizon. You'll arrive back at Ayers Rock Resort 30 minutes after sunset. An optional BBQ dinner is also available (at extra expense).
Day 4 Uluru
Experience acclaimed artist Bruce Munro's Field of Light. Under cover of darkness wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white. Make your way to the dune top and watch in awe as the sun pops up in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, with light. Later, you will be transferred back to the airport for your onward journey, no doubt with many magical memories.
