Day 1 Perth & Western Australia
Make your way to the Barrack Street Jetty in Perth for your ferry sailing across to Rottnest Island (90 minutes). On arrival, you will need to walk the short distance to your accommodation (Rottnest Island is predominantly car free, so transfers are not provided, but your bags are transported for you). Discovery Resorts is nestled behind the dunes of iconic Pinky Beach, one of the most relaxed and breathtaking coastal locations in Australia.
As the first low impact glamping experience on the island, you'll sleep (almost) under the stars in a luxury eco-tent. The rest of the day is yours to explore independently - consider hiring a bike to enable you to see more (at extra expense). Sights to tick off your list include getting a selfie with a quokka. These marsupials can be found all over the island, and are extremely cute! There are also walking trails that cross coastal headlands, inland lakes and more, not to mention dreamy beaches. Your resort has a swimming pool, barbecues and a popular restaurant offering all-day dining.
Day 2 Rottnest Island
Perhaps fit in some snorkelling at The Basin, wander across the boardwalks through the sand dunes to Pinky Beach, snap a picture of the Bathurst Lighthouse or visit the Rottnest Island Museum. It's then time for you to return to the pier for your ferry back to Perth where this fantastic experience reaches its conclusion.
