Day 1 Kuala Lumpur
Fly to Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2 Kuala Lumpur
Arrive in KL, a city boasting gleaming skyscrapers, colonial architecture and welcoming locals. You will be met and transferred to your hotel where you can relax or, perhaps take a stroll and start exploring this multicultural haven.
Days 3-4 Kuala Lumpur
Two days at leisure to explore the many sights under your own steam or by joining an excursion (at extra charge). No visit to KL would be complete without visiting the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, which have an observation deck on level 86 and double-decker skybridge for far reaching views. Other attractions include the Jamek Mosque, Merdeka Square, Chinatown and the Railway Station.
Day 5 Kuala Lumpur
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu on Sabah. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day is free.
Days 6-8
Three full days to relax at this luxurious 400-acre beach haven set amidst a nature reserve where many of Borneo's unique flora and fauna can be found. It's just the place to relax in the sun, sand and sea or enjoy the great outdoors with over 60 activities including a variety of thrilling watersports, a magnificent spa and eco-friendly 18-hole championship golf course.
Day 9 Sabah beach resort
Transfer to Kota Kinabalu for an early morning flight and then travel to the Rainforest Discovery Centre to learn about the area's nature and to walk on a suspension bridge. Proceed by road to Bilit village in the Kinabatangan area and this afternoon enjoy a wildlife cruise, during which you may be lucky enough to glimpse Proboscis monkeys.
Day 10 Sandakan
After an early breakfast proceed to the Sepilok Orang-Utan Sanctuary. Take a guided walk through the jungle to the feeding platform and hopefully catch a glimpse of these lovable creatures. Afterwards, visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre which helps rescued bears. Later, fly back to Kota Kinabalu for your onward transfer to the beach resort where you have the rest of the day at leisure
Days 11-13 Sabah beach resort
Should you tire of lazing under a swaying palm, optional excursions to nearby Poring Hot Springs or Kinabalu National Park are available (at extra cost).
Day 14 Sabah beach resort
Transfer to Kota Kinabalu for the return flight to KL for your onward journey.
