Begin at the legendary Fairmont Banff Springs, framed by soaring peaks and glacial lakes, then move on to the glistening shores of Lake Louise. Venture onto the Columbia Icefield aboard a massive Ice Explorer and cross the glass-floored Skywalk, before boarding the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for a scenic rail journey through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains to Vancouver's glittering harbour city. Finish with English heritage and gardens in Victoria, the gateway to the world-famous Butchart Gardens. Pass by incredible scenery on one of the world's great train journeys - mountain travel at its most indulgent.

Days 1-2 Banff
Fly to Calgary. On arrival you have a private road transfer to the pretty town of Banff which sits amidst a seemingly endless landscape of soaring mountains, pristine forests and turquoise glacial lakes. You'll stay at the magnificent Fairmont Banff Springs, which has been providing legendary hospitality for over 130 years. This charming town and surrounding national park offer endless ways to fill your time.
Maybe take the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for mesmerising views, follow a hiking trail, or browse the shops and galleries of picturesque Banff Avenue before lunch on the patio of a top-class restaurant.
Day 3 Lake Louise
Transfer by shuttle to mesmerising Lake Louise and the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, which sits beside the glistening water. If you're not content to simply stroll and absorb the vistas, there are numerous seasonal activities to keep you on your toes.
Days 4-5 Jasper
Today's Columbia Icefield Adventure takes in the Icefields Parkway, Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake (weather permitting), before venturing onto the Columbia Icefield aboard a massive Ice Explorer vehicle at the Athabasca Glacier. You can also experience the glass-floored Columbia Icefield Skywalk, extending out over the Sunwapta Valley. Your base is the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge on the shores of Lac Beauvert.
Spend day 5 at leisure in charming Jasper, backed by towering peaks and lined with shops, bakeries and restaurants, or explore Jasper National Park's alpine wilderness.
Day 6 Rocky Mountaineer (overnight in Kamloops)
Transfer to the rail station and board the Rocky Mountaineer. As you journey west and south, you will be surrounded by the incredible scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Keep watch for Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls and the North Thompson River. On arrival in Kamloops transfer to your hotel.
Days 7-8 Vancouver
Rejoin the train this morning to travel west towards the Pacific Ocean. Admire the ever-changing vistas be it the desert-like environment of the Interior, winding river canyons, pristine forests, sky-high mountains or lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. On arrival in Vancouver, you'll transfer to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver which holds a prime downtown location. This city is very easy on the eye thanks to a glittering landscape of oceans and mountains as well as eclectic neighbourhoods.
It’s very walkable and we highly recommend a stroll around Stanley Park, Chinatown and Gastown. The market on nearby Granville Island is well worth a visit too.
Days 9-10 Victoria
Travel by ferry across to Vancouver Island and the quirky city of Victoria. Where better to rest your head than the Fairmont Empress which majestically perches at the cornerstone of Victoria's Inner Harbour. With a nod to its English Heritage, Victoria is filled with gardens and seafront parks, stately homes and museums, bohemian eateries and craft breweries. It’s also the gateway to the legendary Butchart Gardens.
Day 11 Vancouver
Return to Vancouver for your onward journey.
