Our suggested itinerary is a starting point

We're specialists in tailor-made holidays, where we can adapt each itinerary to suit your requirements

Day 1 Shediac

After a night's stay in Halifax, Nova Scotia, your adventure gets underway as you head northwards for Shediac in New Brunswick. This vibrant town is hailed as The Lobster Capital of the World, so if seafood appeals, there are ample eateries to tuck in. Don't miss also, the town's giant lobster statue which is a great selfie spot.

Day 3 Miramichi

Your travels then take you up the eastern coast to Miramichi, which is particularly famous as a prime salmon-fishing destination. Explore also the cultural heritage at Metepenagiag Heritage Park, where the First Peoples of New Brunswick will take you on a journey covering 3,000 years of history.

Day 4 Caraquet

As you continue driving along the coast, the views are sure to take your breath away. Located on one of the most beautiful bays in the world, inviting Caraquet brims with Acadian and Maritime charm. Find out more at the open-air Historic Acadian Village, spend time relaxing on the inviting beaches, check out the boutiques and galleries, or find a sunny terrace to linger over lunch and savour the magnificent views.

Day 6 Edmundston

Leave the coast behind and head inland for Edmundston. Surrounded by mountains and criss-crossed with trails, Edmundston nestles along the Saint John River and perfectly fuses natural beauty, cultural richness, outdoor activities galore and friendly charm. Home of the Brayon culture, make sure you try local specialities such as traditional ploye, a buckwheat pancake.

Day 7 Fredericton

Next up is New Brunswick's riverside capital, Fredericton. Here, you can dive into rich history that's proudly displayed, catch a theatre show, explore gorgeous parks by land or water, and relax with locals over a craft beer on a lively patio.

Day 9 St Andrews by the Sea

Head further south to St Andrews by the Sea, where there are opportunities to head out on the Bay of Fundy in the hope of spotting whales. This compact town was founded in 1783 and many historic buildings still stand today, having found new life as galleries, boutiques and eateries, so you'll find lots to catch your attention. Another popular attraction is Kingsbrae Gardens, which is hailed as one of Canada's landmark public gardens.

Day 11 Moncton

En route to Moncton, be sure to visit the incredible Hopewell Rocks, a series of flowerpot rock formations which have been carved out by the ocean over thousands of years. It's here also that you can truly appreciate the power of the Bay of Fundy, which has the highest tides in the world. Moncton is another destination which perfectly blends outdoor adventure and urban experiences.

It's packed with some of the province's best restaurants and bistros, arts, family fun, an exciting nightlife and it's hailed as the Maritimes' premier shopping destination.

Day 12 Halifax

All good things must come to an end, so it's then time to make your way back to Halifax for your homeward flight.
