The buzzing Downtown Dubai district is also home to the vast Dubai Mall, where you'll find over 1,300 shops and just about every fashion brand in the world. Standing at over 2,716 feet and with more than 160 stories, the iconic Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building and is one of Dubai's greatest sights. There are two observation decks at level 125 and 148, from where you can enjoy simply breathtaking views of the city below and desert beyond.
Dubai enjoys virtually guaranteed year-round sunshine. Between December to February temperatures average in the mid-20sºC, rising up into the 30s from March to April and again from October to November. While the scorching temperatures between May-September may be too much for some (usually in excess of 40ºC), it’s one of the few destinations when it’s cheaper to visit during our school summer holidays, whether travelling with children or not.
The transfer time from Dubai airport to Downtown Dubai is approximately 20 minutes.
