Jebel Ali, once a separate village, is now a southwestern district of Dubai, renowned for its palm-lined beach, relaxing resorts and extensive leisure facilities. Home to the world’s largest man-made harbour and the Middle East’s biggest port, it also offers a thriving expatriate community and easy access to Dubai Parks and Resorts. Visitors can enjoy golf, horse riding, tennis, squash, badminton and watersports, while families can explore Motiongate Dubai, Riverland Dubai, Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park. Dubai’s landmarks, shopping and attractions are easily reached by metro, taxi or complimentary hotel shuttles.
Dubai enjoys virtually guaranteed year-round sunshine. Between December to February temperatures average in the mid-20sºC, rising up into the 30s from March to April and again from October to November. While the scorching temperatures between May-September may be too much for some (usually in excess of 40ºC), it’s one of the few destinations when it’s cheaper to visit during our school summer holidays, whether travelling with children or not.
The transfer time from Dubai airport to Jebel Ali is approximately 45 minutes.
