Day 1 Kuala Lumpur
Depart from your KL hotel for a scenic journey south to the delightful port of Malacca (approx 2 hours drive). On the way see rubber and oil plantations, paddy fields and quaint Malay "kampongs" with houses built on stilts. On arrival, the rest of the day is free, so why not head out and take in the laid-back atmosphere, views of historical buildings and watch as the zany trishaws zip by.
Day 2 Malacca
This morning, set off on a Malacca city tour, visiting Dutch Square, which dates back to 1650; St Paul's Church; Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Malacca's oldest Taoist temple; and enjoy a stroll through the "antique row" of Jalan Hang Jebat. The afternoon is then free to explore as you choose. Perhaps hail a trishaw and hop aboard for a thoroughly entertaining ride or maybe take a cruise along the Melaka River.
Alternatively, return to Jalan Hang Jebat for further time to browse the shops or, if antiques aren't your thing, maybe browse one of the modern shopping malls. Alternatively, why not treat yourself to a spa treatment at The Majestic Malacca.
Day 3 Malacca
Return to KL and on arrival look forward to a fascinating city tour which unveils both the beauty and charm of the old town, and the dynamism of new Kuala Lumpur. Highlights include photo stops at the Petronas Twin Towers, King's Palace and National Mosque, Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Tudor-Styled Cricket Club. The tour then concludes for your onward journey.
