Summer (December to February) brings warm, settled weather - ideal for the Coromandel's beaches. Autumn is mild with fewer crowds, while winter is cooler and wetter, especially on the coast. Spring can be changeable, but inland spots like Waitomo's caves and Hobbiton are enjoyable year-round.
