Day 1 Te Anau or Queenstown
Transfer to Milford Sound Wharf for a late afternoon departure. The onboard specialist nature guide will explain the history and geology of the area and be on hand to answer your questions. The cruise style is relaxed, so there is ample time to view the fiord's spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. After anchoring in a sheltered cove you have the option to explore in the vessel's tender craft (small boat) or, if you prefer, by kayak. Alternatively, you can simply relax on deck and soak up the beauty of this amazing place.
As evening falls, tuck into a delicious carvery buffet before indulging in some star gazing or simply retiring to your cabin.
Day 2 Milford Sound
After breakfast, head out to the Tasman Sea (weather permitting) and explore more of the fiord before you disembark for the return journey back to Te Anau or Queenstown.
