Popular with couples, families, tourists and Thais alike, Hua Hin’s three miles of powdery sands are backed by good-value hotels, luxury resorts and renowned spas. After dark, browse the vibrant night market, sample local delicacies or unwind in a sophisticated wine bar or music venue. Nearby Cha Am offers a relaxed atmosphere, calm turquoise waters and excellent seafood, while peaceful Kui Buri boasts fishing villages and pristine beaches. Inland, discover royal palaces, Buddhist temples, waterfalls and national parks, including Kui Buri National Park, home to one of Thailand’s largest wild elephant populations. The region also offers superb golfing.
Hua Hin and Cha Am’s central location give it three distinctive seasons, with some of the lowest rainfall in the country. The dry season runs from November to February, the hot season extends from March to June and the rainy season lasts from July to October. Rain usually occurs mid-afternoon and doesn’t tend to last too long.
