Home to just a handful of hotels there's definitely no need to reserve a sun lounger at first light, and amongst the sheltered bays and frequently deserted beaches, you'll often see only your own footprints in the sand. The scenery isn't too shabby either, with soaring limestone mountains peering over palm-tree lined roads, lush coconut or rubber plantations and stilted wooden houses. Khanom enjoys good weather for the majority of the year, however between November to mid-December it can be rather windy. The peak dry season is from March to May but even during the traditional rainy season (June to October) it usually only rains for a short period in the afternoon.
