Florida’s Gulf Coast stretches from Tarpon Springs to Marco Island, offering stunning white-sand beaches, charming coastal towns and abundant wildlife. St Petersburg and Clearwater combine family-friendly attractions, beautiful beaches, museums and lively entertainment. Further south, Longboat Key offers tranquil beaches, golf and dining, while sophisticated Naples boasts luxury, shopping, fine restaurants and easy access to the Everglades. Crystal River is famous for its manatees, while Panama City Beach offers watersports and outdoor adventures. Inland, visitors can explore lakes, Legoland Florida and authentic ranch experiences. With year-round sunshine, there’s something for everyone.
As with much of the Sunshine State, the Gulf Coast beaches are a year round destination. High season is from mid-December to mid-April when the temperatures are warm and the humidity low. In the summer months the temperatures can soar along with the humidity, with daily thunderstorms a possibility. Spring and autumn vary from mild to cool.
