This fantastic tour begins with a stay in Las Vegas, an oasis of indulgence and the ultimate playground. Whether you choose to splash your cash in the casinos, stroll the Strip, enjoy the party atmosphere at the Fremont Street Experience, go on a shopping spree of take in a live show, you most definitely won’t be stuck for things to do in Vegas.
It’s then time to collect your hire car and hit the road as you drive into Utah and head for Springdale, which is your gateway to the incredible rock formations, backcountry trails and unique wildlife of Zion National Park.
Another city stop awaits next, as you drive to Cedar City, where nearby ski resorts, a national forest, great national parks and superb arts scene are all up for grabs.
Travel on to Bryce Canyon, known for its endless fields of distinctive red rock pillars, called hoodoos, jut up from the floor of a huge natural amphitheatre. By far the best way to take in the scenery is to follow one of the hiking trails, be it a short loop or challenging adventure, either way the vistas are spectacular.
Next up is Salt Lake City, capital of Utah, where you drop off your car and can explore art, breweries, music and a vibrant culinary scene, all nestled against breathtaking landscapes.
It’s then time for a journey onboard Canyon Spirit, a new elevated rail experience from the visionaries behind Rocky Mountaineer. During this three day rail journey, you’ll travel through hidden gems of the Southwest, taking in the sandstone beauties surrounding Moab, historic ghost towns, and the charming mountain retreat of Glenwood Springs before you reach Denver, Colorado.
Enjoy a night in Denver, where a thriving gastropub and craft beer culture connects with a dynamic arts and music scene, before you bid farewell to the USA and head back home.
