Days 1-2 Scottsdale
Pick up your hire car and begin your journey in Scottsdale, where you can browse luxury brands at Scottsdale Fashion Square, discover independent boutiques in Old Town, join the lively Thursday ArtWalks and admire more than 100 murals and sculptures throughout the city. Savour exceptional dining at acclaimed restaurants or tee off on some of Arizona’s most picturesque golf courses.
Day 3 Prescott
Next, spend a night in Prescott, where rich Wild West heritage meets laid back small town charm. Stroll around Courthouse Plaza, browse galleries, and enjoy live music in the historic saloons along Whiskey Row. Surrounded by pine forests and scenic lakes, it’s an ideal spot for gentle hikes, kayaking, or simply unwinding in the refreshingly cooler mountain air.
Days 4-5 Grand Canyon
Enjoy two nights at Yavapai Lodge, set within the Grand Canyon National Park and just half a mile from the South Rim, close to the historic Grand Canyon Village. It’s an ideal base for exploring this iconic landscape. Wake early for sunrise over the rim, then spend the day discovering key highlights. Walk part of the Bright Angel Trail, visit Mather Point or maybe join a ranger-led talk to learn more about the canyon’s geology and wildlife. As evening falls, enjoy unforgettable sunsets and dark, star-filled skies.
Days 6-8 Lake Powell
Drive to Lake Powell, a shimmering oasis surrounded by dramatic red-rock cliffs. Stay right on the water’s edge at Wahweap Marina for easy access to the lake. Spend the day cruising across calm blue waters, kayaking into hidden coves or exploring nearby slot canyons. With warm sunshine, sandy shorelines and striking desert scenery, it’s the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
Day 9 Monument Valley
A night in Monument Valley offers an unforgettable immersion in the American West. Watch towering sandstone buttes glow with rich colours at sunrise and sunset and consider joining a guided Navajo tour to learn about local culture, traditions and stories of the land. Surrounded by vast, cinematic scenery that has defined generations of classic films, it’s a place that feels both iconic and deeply atmospheric.
Days 10-11 Holbrook
Spend a night in Holbrook and step back in time along America’s iconic Route 66. Explore the otherworldly landscapes of nearby Petrified Forest National Park, where ancient, fossilised trees lie scattered across colourful desert badlands and discover fascinating Native American history, scenic drives and wide-open skies that perfectly capture the spirit of the frontier.
Days 12-14 Tucson
End your adventure in Tucson, where vibrant culture meets striking desert scenery. Stay at the iconic Tanque Verde Ranch, a historic desert retreat set beside Saguaro National Park, offering horseback riding, scenic trails and wide open Sonoran views.
