Days 1-3 Las Vegas
Fly to Las Vegas. On arrival make your way to your hotel in this one-of-a-kind city. Why not keep jetlag at bay by stepping out and soaking up the lively vibe with a walk along The Strip. There’s no end of things to see and do in Vegas, so try and fit in as many highlights as you can! Perhaps see the city from up high at either the High Roller or Stratosphere Tower. Pop into some of the flashy themed hotels that line The Strip, put a coin or two in the slot machines at a casino, browse the amazing shops and enjoy a show.
Take in the sight of the Bellagio’s dancing fountains or head over to Downtown Las Vegas. Another option is to treat yourself to a helicopter flight over the ever-twinkling lights of The Strip - an unforgettable experience.
Days 4-5 Zion National Park
Collect your car and leave behind the bright lights, making sure to stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign for a quick photo before you leave! Drive north east out of Nevada, into the top corner of Arizona and on into Utah for Zion National Park (152 miles). With striking red rock walls and sheer canyons, this desert oasis was created over millions of years by the power of water and wind.
Explore the Zion Canyon scenic drive using the free shuttle bus and follow one of the many hiking trails for sweeping vistas, clear pools, natural arches and narrow canyons, all of which are sure to take your breath away.
Day 6 Bryce Canyon National Park
It’s back on the road as you head deeper into Utah for another of its impressive parks, Bryce Canyon which is known for its crimson coloured hoodoos (84 miles). Follow one of the multitude of hiking trails within Bryce Canyon National park for an up-close look at its unique rock formations. Numerous lookouts provide magnificent views that are sure to impress (248 miles).
Days 7-9 Moab
A hub for outdoor recreation, Moab is surrounded by scenic rivers, forests and a stunning red rock landscape. In Downtown Moab enjoy the array of restaurants, microbreweries, shops and galleries.
Day 10 Monument Valley
A scenic road trip takes you south and into Arizona for Monument Valley whose iconic landscapes are sure to inspire. Its collection of crimson mesas and towering sandstone buttes have formed the backdrop for many a movie (148 miles).
Day 11 Page/Lake Powell
Drive the 17-mile dirt loop, Valley Drive which has multiple places to stop along the way for memorable snaps of the park's most spectacular rock formations. Alternatively, set off on the only public hike in the valley, an easy 3-mile loop that takes you to Mitten Butte. Later, travel onwards to Page/Lake Powell (121 miles).
Day 12 Grand Canyon National Park
Outdoor adventures abound and include hiking, getting on the water at Lake Powell or admiring every beautiful inch of Horseshoe Bend. Journey southwards through Arizona to Grand Canyon National Park (109 miles). A natural wonder that has to be seen to be believed, the Grand Canyon is a breathtaking ensemble of colourful rock layers, impressive buttes and shadowed side canyons.
Stroll along the rim, stopping here and there at the various mesmerising viewpoints, perhaps hire a bike to explore even more, or take a helicopter trip for awesome aerial views.
Day 13 Flagstaff
Your drive today includes a portion of the famous Route 66 as that leads right into Flagstaff. This laid-back city has an historic downtown, is also home to the Lowell Observatory, where Pluto was discovered, and a variety of micro breweries (80 miles).
Day 14 Grand Canyon National Park
Travel back to Las Vegas (253 miles) where your tour concludes at the airport for your onward journey.
