Day 1 Cape Town
Fly to Cape Town
Day 2 Cape Town
On arrival transfer to your hotel.
Days 3-5 Cape Town
At leisure to explore as you choose. Be sure to take the cable car up Table Mountain, or the ferry across to Robben Island, stroll V&A Waterfront or see more by pre-booking some of our unmissable experiences.
Day 6 Cape Town
Transfer to the airport and fly onward to Pretoria.
Day 7 Johannesburg & Pretoria
At leisure before transferring to the station for an early evening departure.
Day 8 Tropic of Capricorn
Spend the day on board the train as it crosses the Tropic of Capricorn and onwards to Zimbabwe.
Day 9 Matobo National Park
Continue the journey this morning before an afternoon visit to Matobo National Park to see bushmen caves, rock art and the grave of Cecil John Rhodes.
Day 10 Zimbabwe
This morning the train travels along one of the world's longest stretches of straight railway line (70 miles). After lunch, look forward to a game drive in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe's largest national park and one of the world's last great elephant sanctuaries.
Day 11
Head to the Observation Car, which leads the train today, as you head for Victoria Falls. It's here that your journey concludes for your onward journey, unless you opt for our highly recommended safari lodge add-on, as shown below.
