Getting there: There are no non-stop flights from the UK to Xi’an. Flights are available from most Chinese cities including Beijing, which take approximately 2 hours, or from Shanghai, which is about 2 hours 40 minutes flying time.

Best time to travel: Spring and Autumn are considered the ideal times to visit Xi’an as the temperatures are pleasantly warm. Summers are hot and humid and rain can be expected, while the winters are cold, although tend to be dry.
