Day 1: Fly to Cape Town.
Day 2 Cape Town: On arrival at Cape Town airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in this historic and culturally diverse city, fondly known as the Mother City.
Days 3-5 Cape Town: Three days for you to explore vibrant Cape Town. You are free to sightsee at your own pace or we can offer a multitude of sightseeing excursions at an additional cost. You’ll find much to see and do in Cape Town and the surrounding area, with a visit to iconic Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting) highly recommended for panoramic views of the city. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is a great place to while away a few hours with an array of shops, fantastic restaurants and entertainment, while Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens offers a lovely spot for a picnic and the chance to commune with Cape Town’s great outdoors. Do also take the ferry across to Robben Island, which was where Nelson Mandela and many other political prisoners were imprisoned during the apartheid era. If you can bear to wrench yourself away from the city, exchange urban landscapes for the charming towns, villages and estates of The Winelands particularly Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
Day 6 Cape Town/Johannesburg: Transfer to Cape Town airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival take the hotel shuttle bus to your hotel.
Day 7 Johannesburg/Kruger National Park: Early morning shuttle transfer by road to Hoedspruit On arrival, at around midday, you will be transferred to your game lodge on the border of the renowned Kruger National Park. The largest game reserve in South Africa, Kruger boasts vast landscapes and the most diverse game viewing experience in South Africa. Truly the flagship of the South African national parks, Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians,114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals.
Day 8 Kruger National Park: The day begins with an early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park on an open safari vehicle with an experienced ranger and tracker. Kruger is home to the Big Five – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard – so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. Return to the lodge for time to relax before setting off this afternoon for a further game drive into the magnificent Kruger National Park. Along with the Big Five this premier game-watching destination has hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, warthog and many antelope species, while large carnivores also include wild dog and spotted hyena. This evening feast on South African specialities and share the exciting events of your day with your fellow travellers.
Day 9 Kruger National Park/Johannesburg: Return transfer by shuttle where your tour concludes.

Meals: Breakfast. Half board at Kubu Safari Lodge.
