Gili Islands Holidays

Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno make up the renowned island trio situated off Lombok's northwest coast. In the Sasak language, 'gili' means small island, which perfectly describes these little gems.

Fringed by white sand beaches and coconut palms sitting in a turquoise sea, the Gili Islands are a vision of paradise.

Gili Meno is the smallest and serves as an ideal choice for an escape with beautifully barren beaches, preserved nature and a local ban on late night music. The island's attractions include a mini turtle sanctuary, Meno's Bird Park and a unique saltwater lake where you can spot tropical birds and wildlife.

Gili Air is positioned at the start of the string of islands, closest to the Lombok mainland. The beaches around the northern coastline are hushed and isolated while those on the southeast coast offers a variet of dining and nightlife choices. The island is also the place to catch the most stunning sunset and sunrise.

The largest of the three islands, Gili Trawangan, is the most well-established offering plenty of facilities and a great nightlife in the south. The main beach can be particularly busy, but if you're seeking tranquility, the beaches on the secluded western shore of the island offer a more relaxed style.

All three islands are highly popular with divers, with the waters surrounding them boasting coral gardens that teem with rich tropical marine biodiversity and offer good visibility year round.
