Malacca 2 nights
Day 1 KL/Malacca: Depart from your KL hotel for a scenic journey south to the delightful port of Malacca (approximately 2 hours drive). On the way see rubber and oil plantations, paddy fields and quaint Malay “kampongs” with houses built on stilts. On arrival, the rest of the day is free, so why not head out and take in the laid-back atmosphere, views of historical buildings and watch as the zany trishaws zip by.
Day 2 Malacca: This morning proceed for a Malacca City Tour, visiting Dutch Square, which dates back to 1650; St Paul Hill; Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Malacca’s oldest Taoist temple; and includes a stroll through the “antique row” of Jalan Hang Jebat. The afternoon is then yours to explore further. Perhaps hail a trishaw and hop aboard for a thoroughly entertaining ride or perhaps take a cruise along the Melaka River. Alternatively, return to Jalan Hang Jebat for further time to browse the shops. If antiques aren’t your thing, you’ll find a modern complex adjoining the Swiss-Garden, or maybe indulge with a spa treatment at The Majestic Malacca.
Day 3 Malacca/KL: Your tour concludes with a return journey to KL.
Departures: Daily from Kuala Lumpur. Minimum two passengers.
Accommodation: In deluxe rooms at your choice of the Swiss-Garden or The Majestic Malacca.
Room upgrades: Executive suites at the Swiss-Garden, which offer a separate lounge area. Top floor suites at The Majestic Malacca, with views of the Malacca River.
