Ngapali Beach Holidays
Pronounced Napally and supposedly named by a homesick Italian reminiscing about Naples, Ngapali’s pristine sands are fringed with perfect palms and the clear Bay of Bengal waters. Despite something of a building boom, only a handful of hotels and resorts are spread across more than 15 miles of coast, so Ngapali maintains its charming fishing-village vibe.
When not content to laze, discover the colourful underwater world or take a trip to nearby small islands. On land, there’s a 9 hole golf course, or you can hire a bike and join the local traffic of ox drawn carts and cycles to visit traditional fishing villages.
Dining options at the beachside hotels and resorts include Asian and western food, while local beach restaurants serve up wonderfully fresh seafood, at ridiculously low prices, allowing you to dine with sand between your toes.
A word of warning though, Ngapali isn’t the place for those seeking a lively nightlife, there are no discos on the beach, it’s simply a laid-back paradise to get away from it all.
