Day 1 Sydney: Depart Sydney in the afternoon for the start of a true journey of contrasts. As the train ventures beyond the city limits, settle back, open a book or simply admire the view as the train travels through the spectacular Blue Mountains.

Day 2 Broken Hill/Adelaide: Wake early as the train arrives in Broken Hill, a classic mining town where the streets are wide and there is a pub on every corner. Disembark for an included off-train excursion and discover the history of mining and the artistic culture that abounds in the area.  Returning to the train for breakfast and as the train sets off, you'll soon notice a dramatic change in landscape as the outback makes way for the green and golden fields of South Australia's food bowl. Your choice for the afternoon and evening is a walking tour in the picturesque city of Adelaide, exploring the Barossa V                   ries or visit the picturesque village of Hahndorf.

Day 3 Rawlinna: This morning wake to the raw beauty of the Nullarbor, which takes its name from the Latin meaning 'no trees'. Spend the day simply relaxing or reflecting on the changing landscapes. Your sense of wonder will be well and truly ignited when it comes time to set foot in Rawlinna this evening, as you partake in a traditional outback dinner under the wide Nullarbor skies.

Day 4 Perth: The Avon Valley beckons you this morning, a truly picturesque part of the world. Arrive into the cosmopolitan city of Perth after lunch, which marks the end of your epic journey.

This journey is also available in reverse and includes an excursion to the Blue Mountains.

Gold Service from £1799:

Gold Service guests can choose from a single (compact cabin featuring a wash basin and bed that converts to a seat by day - shared toilet/shower facilities located at the end of the carriage); or twin (comfortable cabin featuring compact en suite facilities with 3-seater lounge that converts to upper and lower berths at night).

Platinum Service from £2949:

Guests enjoy spacious private cabins with large picture windows and large en suite facilities which offer a deluxe lounge by day and convert to either a full size double bed or twin beds by night. The en suite comprises of full size shower and toilet facilities. For a truly remarkable experience watch the sunrise in the outback whilst enjoying freshly prepared continental breakfast in bed! Refreshments are also served in-cabin.

Departures: Wednesday from Sydney. Sunday from Perth.
