Day 1 Adelaide/Melbourne: Early morning departure from Adelaide on this historic train, which pioneered inter-capital rail travel way back in 1887. A century on and an AU$4 million refurbishment later, today’s ‘Overlanders’ will travel in relaxing comfort. Sit back in your comfortable seat and watch as the train passes through classic Australian country towns including Murray Bridge, Bordertown, Nhil, Dimboola, Hoorsham, Stawell, Ararat and Geelong before arriving into Melbourne just before 7pm.
