Day 1 Adelaide/Marla: Step aboard the legendary Ghan at noon and as the big wheels start turning enjoy lunch and watch the rolling pastoral lands of South Australia pass by. Marvel as the spectacular Flinders Ranges disappear into the horizon while relaxing in your cabin or mingling with fellow travellers in the Lounge car. As night falls, return to the restaurant for dinner.
Day 2 Marla/Katherine: Watch the amazing outback sunrise before the train sets off. Later arrive in iconic Alice Springs where you can glimpse the history of yesteryear, the thriving culture and unique lifestyle of today. Visit local landmarks, or take a front row seat at a spectacular bird show at the Desert Park. To fully appreciate this breathtaking part of Australia, you may like to take a helicopter ride over the MacDonnell Ranges; experience a serene camel ride or, perhaps visit Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
Day 3 Katherine/Darwin: After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Katherine River, gazing in wonder at towering sandstone cliffs. Alternatively, gain an insight into the culture and ways of the traditional owners, the Jawoyn people. You may prefer to upgrade your excursion with a helicopter or scenic flight over Kakadu and Nitmiluk National Parks. Return to the train for lunch, then kick back and savour the last few hours of this epic journey. Roll into Darwin at 5.30pm.

Guests enjoy spacious private cabins with large picture windows and large en suite facilities which offer a deluxe lounge by day and convert to either a full size double bed or twin beds by night.
