Day 1: Depart on a daytime flight from the UK to Sydney.
Day 2 Sydney: On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 Sydney: At leisure to sightsee independently. Be sure to visit the harbour to see the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Day 4 Sydney/Hunter Valley: Take the three hour journey by rail to the Hunter Valley where you have time to relax and enjoy the facilities and an included wine tutorial at the Hunter Wine Theatre.
Day 5 Hunter Valley/Sydney: At leisure to further explore before the return journey by rail at midday.
Day 6 Sydney/Cruise: Time to see a few more sights before a transfer to the port to board Serenade of the Seas.
Days 7-8 At sea: Familiarise yourself with all the ship’s amenities before lounging by the pool or perhaps treating yourself to a pampering spa treatment. Or, if you’re feeling energetic, try out some of the amazing activities.
Day 9 Picton: This picturesque seaside town has an attractive seafront dotted with cafés and galleries, along with a floating maritime museum and an aquarium. Embrace the great outdoors on a walking or cycling tour along the Queen Charlotte Track, see spectacular scenery on a boating, kayaking, scuba diving or fishing trip or sample delicious Marlborough wines.
Day 10 Napier: As you stroll around Napier you’ll discover street after street of stunning and beautifully-restored Art Deco buildings, all built after an earthquake in the 1930s. Alternatively, take an excursion to view the gannet colonies at Cape Kidnappers or take a tasting tour of the vineyards of Hawke’s Bay.
Day 11 Wellington: Taste your way around tempting Wellington, known for its brilliant bars and restaurants, craft beers, coffee shops and delicious wines. Head up to Mount Victoria Lookout for stunning views, ride the historic cable car for more spectacular sights and visit the Wellington Botanic Garden along the way. A thriving arts scene and designer boutiques add to the city’s delights.
Day 12 Christchurch: Take a punt on the Avon River or smell the roses in the lovely Botanic Gardens. See how the city has reinvented itself after devastating earthquakes at the Cardboard Cathedral, Canterbury Museum and in Cathedral Square. You’ll be impressed by breathtaking views at Sumner and Lyttelton Bay and by the shops and bars of New Regent Street. The International Antarctic Centre is also worth a visit.
Day 13 Dunedin: Walk the Dunedin Street Art Trail in this culture-friendly city on South Island. Other highlights include Dunedin Railway Station, Dunedin Prison or the gothic-style First Church of Otago. Alternatively, feast on high tea in imposing Larnach Castle and discover the lovely gardens and views, take a tour round beautiful Otago Harbour or explore the city’s Scottish-inspired Victorian and Edwardian architecture by bike.
Day 14 Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound & Milford Sound: Soak up the extraordinarily beautiful landscapes as you cruise Fiordland National Park. Begin with Dusky Sound which was discovered by Captain Cook in 1773; continue to Doubtful Sound, a truly stunning remote wilderness; and then head to Milford Sound which boasts cascading waterfalls and towering wooded cliffs.
Days 15-16 At sea: A chance to sit back and put your feet up. If sitting still is not for you, there’s no end of activities to keep you busy.
Day 17 Cruise/Sydney/Singapore: After disembarking you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Singapore. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 18 Singapore: At leisure to explore independently. Highlights include the Gardens by the Bay, Orchard Road, Little India, Chinatown and Raffles Hotel.
Day 19 Singapore: At leisure before you are transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
