Days 1-2: Depart on an evening flight from the UK to Fiji

Day 3 Denarau: On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 4 Denarau: A day to relax and recharge by the pool or on the gorgeous beach

Day 5 Denarau/Cruise: You will be transferred to the port to board MV Reef Endeavour. Set sail over lunch through the beautiful Mamanuca Islands past many famous resorts where additional passengers join, before arriving for a snorkel from a sand cay and discovering the vista of a South Pacific sunset.

Day 6 Monoriki: Reef Endeavour cruises to idyllic Monoriki where Tom Hanks’ Castaway was filmed. Explore this natural film set on a guided kayak tour and explore Monu Island for snorkelling before a special village choral service.

Day 7 Sacred Island & Waya Island: The Sacred Island is a truly beautiful place. On arrival, the ship’s crew pay tribute to the forefathers of Fijian culture and perform the Sevusevu (gift giving) ceremony. Spend a magical morning swimming in the aquamarine lagoons, snorkelling over spectacular coral gardens, beach combing or coral viewing from the glass-bottom boat. Over lunch, cruise to the Southern Yasawa Islands. Enclosed by towering volcanic peaks and palmfringed beaches, Waya Island is a tropical paradise. Visit a local school, a village, a shell market and if you wish, climb the peak of Waya for amazing views.

Day 8 Denarau/Tivua: Reef Endeavour returns to Denarau for those passengers opting for a shorter cruise. Between departures you can enjoy a choice of complimentary tours including the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, a tall ship adventure or mud pools (Tuesday only) before heading back aboard. The ship then makes its way to the private island of Tivua, surrounded by 500 acres of coral reef this is a great opportunity to practice your snorkelling straight off the beach. There is also a volleyball court, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards or you can stroll around the island in about 10 minutes!

Day 9 Brothers Island & Naviti Island: Start the day with a swim and snorkel at Brothers Island. As the ship then cruises on, enjoy a gourmet buffet lunch as you head towards Naviti Island. Here, you can bask on glorious white sand beaches which are lapped by crystal clear waters. This evening, join the festivities and entertainment of a Fijian Village at Gunu for a traditional Fijian Feast and cultural performance.

Day 10 Sawa-i-lau: Discover the legendary grandeur of Sawa-ilau and the famous limestone caves at your own pace. Swimming in the cave lagoon is a wondrous experience and a visit to a local school is sure to live long in the memory. There are further chances to snorkel, swim in fabled lagoons or test your fitness with a climb to the peak behind the school on Yasawa Island.

Day 11 Yaqeta & Drawaqa: Cruise by the soaring volcanic peaks of the Yasawas and discover a myriad of fish in the reef before lazing on the warm sands. Later, cruise the spectacular channels to Drawaqa for amazing snorkelling, you may even see a manta ray (seasonal). This evening, get your dancing shoes on for the famous Captain Cook Cruises Music Quiz!

Day 12 Cruise/Denarau: The ship returns to Denarau this morning. After disembarking, you are transferred to your hotel for time at leisure.

Day 13 Denarau: Make the most of a further day to soak up the sun and laze in this sublime setting.

Day 14 Denarau/Los Angeles: Transfer to the airport for your flight to the glitz and glamour of LA. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 15 Los Angeles: Sep out and start your sightseeing, perhaps with some window shopping in Beverly Hills or book a tour to see the homes of movie stars. Alternatively, visit the pier and beach at Santa Monica, or one of the famous theme parks.

Day 16 Los Angeles: Return transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

Departure: The price shown is for 17 Mar 20 from the UK. However, the cruise departs most Saturdays or Tuesdays from Denarau. Shorter 3 and 4 night cruises also available.

Accommodation: 2 nights before and 2 nights after your cruise at Hilton Fiji Resort; 7nights in a porthole cabin aboard MV Reef Endeavour; 2 nights after your cruise at Millennium Biltmore, Los Angeles
