Day 1 Toronto/Algonquin Provincial Park: Collect your car and drive to Algonquin Provincial Park, which is filled with maple hills, rocky ridges and thousands of lakes.
Day 2 Algonquin Provincial Park: There’s no shortage of outdoor adventures in the fresh air for you to enjoy. Perhaps hire a bike and follow one of the many trails past the lakes, rivers and forests. If you like to mess about on the water, the park offers a network of more than 1,300 miles of canoe routes. Algonquin has a reputation for some of the best trout fishing in Canada, with spring the best season. There are also a fabulous network of hiking trails, ranging from easy to strenuous. Should you opt to visit during the winter months, activities include cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Whatever you choose to do, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife including moose and many varieties of birds.
Day 3 Algonquin Provincial Park/Toronto: Time for one last hike, bike ride or outing in a canoe before you return to Toronto or carry on your journey to explore eastern Canada further.
