Las Vegas Holidays

The spectacular display of cliffs, canyons, arches, bridges, red slickrock and mountains that you will experience within these two national parks and one Navajo tribal park will keep your camera busy and provide a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Arches National Park is a 73,234 acre wonderland of eroded sandstone fins, towers, ribs, gargoyles, hoodoos, balanced rocks, and, of course, arches. Over 2,000 arches have been catalogued here, including Landscape Arch. Opportunities to explore abound, from the scenic roads that slice through the park to the many trails that wind among the 300-foot high towers and take hikers to some of the most spectacular arches.

Located to the west of the town of Moab and a short distance from Arches National Park, Canyonlands is wild, wonderful and diverse. Formed by the currents and tributaries of Utah's Green and Colorado rivers, Canyonlands is home to wave after wave of deep canyons, towering mesas, pinnacles, cliffs and spires stretching across 527 square miles.

For hikers, the Needles district has about 70 miles of trails while the Island in the Sky district has some family-friendly trails and the famous Mesa Arch. This district is where you'll find the 100 mile White Rim Road, a well-known challenge for mountain bikers. However, cyclists seeking a more leisurely ride will find ample paved scenic roads to explore.

Any visit to southern Utah must include Monument Valley. This inspiring place is the sacred heart of the Navajo Nation and plays host to towering sandstone rock formations that soar up to 1,000 feet above the valley floor. Combined with the surrounding mesas, buttes and desert environment, it truly is one of the natural wonders of the world and has provided the backdrop to hundreds of movies. The 17 mile Valley Drive is a dirt road running through the spectacular scenery. Along the route are many famous sights and formations including Mitten Buttes and the famous Totem Pole.
