Day 1 Las Vegas/Bryce Canyon National Park: Travel by mini bus or SUV to Zion National Park. Cut by the Virgin River, Zion Canyon is an impressive mix of white, pink and red Navajo sandstone cliffs, while ancient petrified sand dunes tower above the canyon floor making for an impressive landscape. Zion National Park offers a variety of enchanting walks and hikes for every fitness level and you’ll have the chance to stroll around Emerald Pools trail, enjoy the Temple of Sinawava, the Great White Throne, Weeping Rock and visit the interpretive Human History Museum where you can hear entertaining rangers talk on the patio. After three to four hours in Zion, the journey continues to Bryce Canyon, considered the most scenically diverse place in the world. A giant natural amphitheatre created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos. These red, orange and white spires provide spectacular views for visitors.
Day 2 Bryce Canyon/Monument Valley: Head past Lake Powell and wind through more of southwest USA’s spectacular scenery en route to Monument Valley, one of the most iconic locations on the planet. There is also the opportunity to take an optional visit to world-famous Antelope Canyon on the way (additional expense). As you arrive in Monument Valley you’ll hop onboard a 4x4 jeep for a Navajo guided tour of this incredible landscape, one sure to be familiar as its provided the backdrop for many famous western movies over the years.
Day 3 Monument Valley/Grand Canyon/Las Vegas: After a brief visit to a traditional Navajo trading post you’ll follow the mighty Colorado River through the Painted Desert to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon. Take in a bird’s eye view on an optional helicopter ride (additional expense), stroll along the rim and admire the extraordinary views from the various lookout points, take a hike into one of the deepest and most diverse canyons on earth, or simply relax in one of the rim cafés and admire the magnificent vistas. All too soon, you’ll be back on the road as you return to the bright city lights of Las Vegas where you arrive at approximately 9pm.
