Day 1 Fly to Nashville: On arrival collect your car and make your way to your hotel.

Days 2-3 Nashville: Two days to create your own playlist and discover Music City at your leisure. Where better to kick off than the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, whose ever-changing exhibits feature the legends of country music past along with today's hottest stars. Other top attractions include the famous RCA Studio B, the Ryman Auditorium and the revered Grand Ole Opry. Along with its ever-present creative vibe, the city is renowned for its culinary scene while history buffs may wish to explore Andrew Jackson's Hermitage.

Day 4 Nashville/Memphis: Bid farewell to Nashville and hit the road for Memphis, the home of Blues, Soul & Rock 'n' Roll. (212 miles).

Day 5 Memphis: A ticket is included for Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley and along with the mansion, you can also step aboard Elvis' customized jets. Other notable attractions in Memphis include Sun Studio, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum and legendary Beale Street.

Day 6 Memphis/Paducah: Today's journey takes you north into the neighbouring state of Kentucky for Paducah, a sophisticated rivertown and designated UNESCO Creative City. (177 miles).

Day 7 Paducah/Louisville: Continue through Kentucky towards Louisville, a colourful southern city whose main claim to fame is the annual Kentucky Derby horse race. (216 miles).

Day 8 Louisville: Learn more about the famous horse race at the Kentucky Derby Museum, discover a dynamic food scene, visit the Muhammad Ali Centre and if time allows, visit a bourbon distillery or perhaps follow the Urban Bourbon Trail!

Day 9 Louisville/Lexington: It's just a short drive today as you head for vibrant Lexington, the Horse Capital of the World. Sightseeing options include visiting the Kentucky Horse Park, taking a Horse Farm Tour, wandering through Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill or perhaps visiting some of the historic homes. (78 miles).

Day 10 Lexington/Bowling Green: Head out early morning to Keeneland Race Course and watch the thoroughbreds get their workout. Later, continue to Bowling Green, where you can visit Lost River Cave and ride by boat into an underground labyrinth or, for those that prefer to stay above ground, head to the National Corvette Museum and the GM Corvette Assembly Plant for a behind the scenes look at an American classic. (160 miles)

Day 11 Bowling Green/Nashville: All too soon, it's time to return to Nashville airport for your onward journey. (66 miles).
