Day 1: Fly to Miami. On arrival make your own way to your hotel.
Day 2 Miami: The day is yours to sightsee or relax as you wish. Perhaps stroll along lively Ocean Drive or busy Collins Avenue, sip a mojito in a beach bar on South Beach, head to Little Havana to uncover the Cuban heritage or, visit Coconut Grove to take in the Bohemian vibe.
Day 3 Miami/Cruise: Morning at leisure to relax before making your way to the port for the late afternoon departure.
Day 4 Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas: CocoCay is Royal Caribbean’s private island and here you have the opportunity to conquer the largest waterslide in North America at the waterpark, grab a drink at the swim-up bar and soak up the scene in the largest freshwater pool in the Bahamas or, get a taste of Bora Bora with your own floating cabana.
Day 5 At sea: If you’re not content to simply soak up the sun your options are seemingly endless. Head to the sports court, try out Laser Tag: Clash for the Crystal City, challenge the family to a round of mini golf, scale the rock climbing wall or, strap on a pair of skates and visit the ice rink!
Day 6 Cozumel, Mexico: From culture-savouring to soaking up sunshine, you’ll find a world of adventure waiting for you in Cozumel. Perhaps head to Chankanaab National Park, where you can snorkel amongst the colourful reefs and schools of tropical fish that give this island its premier diving status. Or travel back in time on an adventure through the towering Maya ruins of Tulum. If shopping’s your thing, then you’ll love Avenue Rafael E Melgar, a mile long strip with shops aplenty and great deals too.
Day 7 Roatán, Honduras: Roatán’s diverse blend of cultures and traditions is enough to charm anyone. But its mangrove forests, dense jungles and swathes of white sand beaches will make you want to stay forever. Divers and snorkellers from all over the globe flock to the largest of Honduras’ Bay Islands every year see to the world’s second-largest barrier reef first-hand. On the Big Island, you can mingle with monkeys and ‘Jesus’ lizards, snorkel with stingrays and zipline through rainforest canopies. If it’s culture you crave, the island’s unique and vibrant blend is more than satisfying – made up of US ex-pat sun-seekers, Hondurans from the mainland, descendants of European settlers and Garífuna, whose Afro-Carib-Arawak heritage still flavours centuries-old communities like Punta Gorda.
Day 8 Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico: Past meets present in Costa Maya with ancient Mayan ruins and mysterious jungles just begging to be explored, as well as private beach clubs and trendy restaurants – all in one place. It’s 250 square miles of paradise packed with entertainment and history, all just 30 miles south of Cancun. The Great Maya Reef just off the coast is the second largest in the world – it’s a must-snorkel spot. Or you can kick back at the port village of Mahahual with an ice-cold michelada – a spicy beer cocktail – in hand. For a culture fix, head to the Kohunlick ruins to see the famous Temple of the Masks.
Day 9 At sea: Try out a salsa dancing class, visit the fitness centre for some yoga, get a spine-tingling rush as you race above the Boardwalk suspended on the Zip Line or maybe try out the flowrider.
Day 10 Cruise/Miami: All too soon the ship returns to Miami where you disembark and make your way to the airport for your onward journey. Alternatively, why not extend your holiday in Miami or drive through the Florida Keys?
