Known locally as Les Ruettes Tranquilles, Guernsey's 34 miles of country lanes are a delight for any nature lover. Coastal walks in the north and nouth offer you a footpath to follow while in contrast, take a stroll along the west coast and you'll be walking on beaches and across commons.
From farmers markets to summer shows, food festivals and town carnivals, Guernsey is certainly ready to entertain you. Outdoor concerts and theatre productions can be enjoyed against the stunning backdrops of Castle Cornet and Candie Gardens; Floral Guernsey Festival weeks and Walking Weeks in both spring and autumn offer the chance to explore on foot; for a real Guernsey day out steeped in history, visit on 9th May for Liberation Day; the Town Carnival brings St Peter Port to life in the summer with busking bands, fireworks and a host of entertainment for children; and if you like air shows then the Guernsey Air show is a must and thrills the crowds in September each year.
