Guernsey & Sark Discovery
Duration: 7 nights independent tour
Guernsey 4 nights
Sark 3 nights
Day 1: Travel by air or sea to Guernsey. On arrival make your way to your hotel.
Days 2-4 Guernsey: Three full days at leisure to discover this lovely island, which thanks to its proximity to France, offers a sense of a holiday abroad, but nevertheless feels resolutely British. Take a wander around the cobbled streets of St Peter Port where an array of shops can be found as well as inviting cafes and restaurants. Sights not to be missed include Castle Cornet - be sure to time your visit so that you see the two redcoats firing the one-gun salute at midday; tranquil Candie Gardens; Sausmarez Manor and Little Chapel.
Day 5 Guernsey/Sark: Make your way to the Inter Island Quay for the ferry to Sark, which takes approximately 55 minutes. The island is car free, so your luggage is taken to Stocks Hotel and you have the choice of a leisurely stroll or waiting for the popular 'toast-rack' tractor which will transport you to the village centre (small charge applies).
Days 6-7 Sark: With no vehicles, your mode of transport to explore is a choice between walking, and cycling, although horse and carriage rides are also available, which are a wonderful introduction to the island. Attractions, aside from the beautiful natural scenery, include the Sark Museum and La Coupee, the causeway which joins Big and Little Sark.
Day 8 Sark/Guernsey/mainland UK: Return by ferry to Guernsey and on arrival make your way to the airport for your onward journey by air or sea.
Departures: Daily between 01 May-30 Sep 18.
Accommodation: 3* La Villette, Guernsey and 4* Stocks, Sark.
Tour price: The prices shown include flights from Bristol, Cardiff, Gatwick or Manchester; or sea travel as a foot passenger from Poole; inter-island ferry between Guernsey and Sark and accommodation.
