The Isle of Man’s shores are home to many fantastic beaches. From sandy stretches to pebbly coves, you’ll not be hard pressed to find an ideal spot for a picnic, walk or swim.

Douglas: Here, you’ll find a two mile stretch of sandy beach to explore with several cafes to stop for a bite to eat, as well as a variety of seafront pubs and hotels.

Castletown Beach: The horseshoe-shaped bay of Castletown, offers sandy stretches and pebbly coves. The beach is a favourite among watersport fanatics, with the bay offering perfect windsurfing conditions. The picturesque beach is also a great spot for walking.

Port Erin: Picturesque Port Erin beach is situated in the southwest of the island. The beach sits in a sheltered bay bordered by the tall cliffs of Bradda head to the north. Its soft golden sands make it a firm family favourite with many facilities including two swimming rafts, cafes, kayak hire and nearby parking.

Peel Beach: On the island’s west coast, Peel Beach has a golden, gently sloping sandy beach set in a beautiful bay, bounded by Peel Castle and the Peel Harbour on one side and red sandstone cliffs on the other.

Ramsey: Close to the town centre, this golden sandy beach slopes gently down to the sea. From the beach you can see fishing and cargo vessels as well as yachts, entering and leaving the busy harbour.

Laxey: On the east coast, Laxey has a pebble and sand beach which gets progressively sandier the closer you go to the low-water mark. The beach sits in picturesque Laxey Bay and is bordered by cliffs to the south and by the harbour breakwaters to the north.

Niarbyl Bay: This secluded beauty spot is just south of Dalby Village on the west coast and of great geological interest. Discover the peaceful bay with its rolling hills thatched cottages and dramatic coastal paths leading to White Beach.

Kirk Michael Beach: Along the northeast coast this is a favourite among locals for watersports and dog walking. The long stretch of sandy beach is accessible by ramp and offers stunning views of the coast and nearby rugged cliffs.

Derbyhaven Beach: A secluded cove on the southeast coast which offers a tranquil bay perfect for swimming, visiting Fort Island or wildlife spotting among many other activities.
