Day 1 Mainland UK/Isle of Man: Travel by air or sea to the Isle of Man. On arrival make your way to your hotel. If time allows, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Douglas’ promenade, a hive of buzzing activity.
Days 2-5 Isle of Man: During your tour you are free to explore and sightsee as you choose. With a Heritage Pass and three day Go Explore Pass included, you have the chance to visit all the main visitor attractions. The Go Explore Pass entitles you to travel on scheduled bus and rail services, along with the Douglas Horse Trams when operating. The Heritage Pass includes entry to the House of Manannan, Castle Rushen, Peel Castle, the Great Laxey Wheel, Manx Museum and Rushen Abbey to name but a few.
The Isle of Man’s dramatic, rugged cliffs and coastline is definitely worth investigating, be it on foot or by boat.
A trip to the very southern tip of the island will give you the best panoramic views of the coastline, including the
Calf of Man.
Another spot to take in the unique beauty is at the Curraghs, a naturally occurring wetland or, choose from 18 national glens, both coastal and mountainous, as well as many forests and plantations to explore.
The Isle of Man also lends itself perfectly to a wide range of outdoor pursuits, including cycling, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and if golf is your passion, there are nine courses so you’re never too far from the green.
Make sure you bring your appetite as the island has a huge variety of eateries, from fine dining to pub grub, tea rooms and ice cream kiosks. Traditional delights include freshly caught queenies, smoky kippers, home-reared Loaghtan lamb and delicious ice cream.
Day 6 Isle of Man/Mainland UK: Enjoy last minute shopping or sightseeing, before you return to the airport for your onward journey.
