Cycling: Shetland and Orkney offer many quiet roads which are just perfect for cycle touring. You can set your own pace and enjoy the pleasure of exploring by bike. You’ll find plenty of bike shops where you can hire either electric, road or mountain bikes and, if you plan to island hop, you can easily take a bike with you on the inter-island ferries and be assured of a two wheeled island adventure at the other end.
