Mumbai 2 nights
Silver Shadow 9 nights
Dubai 2 nights

Day 1: Fly to Mumbai.

Day 2 Mumbai: On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 Mumbai: At leisure to explore independently. Mumbai is India – vibrant, hectic, frustrating and exhilarating. It’s a city of extremes where you’ll find everything from bargain-basement bazaars to the finest haute couture, succulent street food to fine dining, humbling poverty to staggering wealth and sacred temples to hedonist nightclubs.

Day 4 Mumbai/Cruise: Morning transfer to the port to board Silver Shadow for an evening departure. Once you’ve settled into your suite, take an amble around the ship or laze on a lounger beside the pool while attentive staff emerge with your favourite beverage at just the right moment.

Day 5 At sea: Whilst at sea enjoy wine tastings, designer boutiques, language and dance classes. Slip away with a novel from the library to a shady spot on deck or just take in the sun poolside. The choice is yours.

Day 6 Porbandar, India: The coastal city of Porbandar in western India was the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, the champion of peace and father of Indian independence who was born here in 1869. This is a place of pilgrimage for many from India and beyond who come to see the memorials to Gandhi.

Day 7 At sea: A day to do as much or as little as you wish.

Day 8 Muscat, Oman: The capital of Oman is hemmed in on one side by spectacular jagged-peaked mountains and on the other by royal blue sea. Impressive sights include the Grand Mosque and Nakhi Fort, while the bustling Muttrah Souq is always a hive of activity. You may prefer to book a panoramic cruise aboard a traditional dhow boat or perhaps head off in search of dolphins with the chance to snorkel amidst colourful coral beds teeming with fish.

Day 9 Muscat, Oman: The ship remains in Muscat for the day so you may wish to book an optional excursion or to wander at your leisure.

Day 10 Fujairah, UAE: This morning Silver Spirit visits Fujairah, for a chance to see a different side to this country. While elements of Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s futuristic megatowers are present in Fujairah city, overall, you’ll discover a much more down to earth version of the UAE. The Al Bidya Mosque is a true link to the past, and this incredible building is the UAE’s oldest mosque, with a history dating back to 1446. Optional excursions include the chance to drive through the desert by 4x4 for a thrilling off-road sightseeing adventure; discover east coast landmarks including Fujairah Castle; or swim, snorkel and relax in style at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Hotel and Resort.

Day 11 Abu Dhabi, UAE: Formerly a small fishing village, Abu Dhabi today is one of the world’s richest cities with wide, tree-lined boulevards, lush green parks and imposing skyscrapers. Take in panoramic views from the 74th floor observation deck of the Manhattan of the Gulf, take an excursion to the Yas Formula One circuit, visit the Grand Mosque, or stroll along the spectacular Corniche.

Day 12 Dubai, UAE: The ship reaches Dubai this morning. Disembark and transfer to your hotel.

Day 13 Dubai, UAE: This amazing ever-changing emirate boasts eye-catching architecture, scintillating shopping, beautiful beaches and much, much more. Sights include fascinating Dubai Creek, the bustling souks of Deira, the soaring Burj Khalifa, the iconic Palm Jumeirah and the manmade Dubai Marina.

Day 14 At sea: Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Alternatively, why not extend your stay in Dubai?
