The facts:

Getting there: Goa is an hour’s flight from Mumbai or 2.5 hours flying time from Delhi. For Kovalam, the airport at Trivandrum is a two hour flight from Mumbai or 4.5 hours flying time from Delhi.

Best time to travel: Goa is hot and humid throughout the year, however the driest months are October through to April. The monsoon season brings heavy rains between June and August. Kovalam is considered a year round destination although September through to March is the high season and enjoys the best temperatures. June to August is the monsoon so frequent rain showers can be expected.
